Welcome to Smålandstorpet – a cosy hotel in the heart of an area called “Småland”! (“Smålandstorpet” means a cottage in Småland.) We only welcome adult guests (15 years and older). At Smålandstorpet we prioritize sustainability and comfort and we offer you high-quality amenities. You will find Smålandstorpet just 45 km south of the city of Jönköping and 15 minutes from the European route E4.

Our hotel is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. With cozy accommodations in our uniquely decorated houses—Gamla Torpet, Gamla Garaget, Ladugården, and Hemligheten—each with its own charm and history, we aim to provide you with a memorable getaway.

Since 2016, we, Maria and Johan Haggård, have been running this small country side hotel on our estate at the end of the gravel road. Here, nature and personalized hospitality come together to create an unforgettable experience for every guest.

Our country hotel offers you four uniquely designed accommodations, each with carefully selected details: Gamla Torpet (The Old Cottage), Gamla Garaget (The Old Garage) Ladugården (The Barn) and Hemligheten (The Secret).

Our goal has been to create a cozy hotel by repurposing old buildings, ensuring each house provides a comfortable and memorable stay.

Each house is filled with beloved and inherited items, creating an authentic and homely atmosphere. Beds from the local company Hilding and duvets from the local brand Värnamo af Sweden guarantee a restful night’s sleep.

For work or leisure, we provide fast Wi-Fi and electric vehicle charging, ensuring a relaxing stay without compromise.

Imagine enjoying breakfast delivered straight to your cozy house at Smålandstorpet! We offer you homemade bread, natural yogurt, muesli, juice, boiled eggs, and coffee or tea, delivered at a time of your choice between 6:00 and 9:00 am. We can also prepare  evening snack or dinner – just let us know in advance

What can you do as a guest at Smålandstorpet? Relaxation is our focus – enjoy a tranquil walk in the forest, take a refreshing swim in the lake, or rent our cozy sauna or boat. Explore nature by picking berries and mushrooms or simply wandering through the woods. There are also scenic gravel roads perfect for cycling, so feel free to bring your bike!

As a guest at our countryside hotel, you can enjoy a relaxing evening in our wood-fired sauna, beautifully located by our small sandy beach and pier, about one kilometer from the hotel. You can reach it easily on foot or by car. As darkness falls, the experience becomes even more magical with cozy lighting surrounding the area.

The sauna will be warm when you arrive, and we’ll ensure that towels and firewood are provided for a worry-free evening. During winter, we can also arrange an ice hole for a refreshing winter dip. Welcome to an evening filled with warmth and tranquility!

In the price, 2 hours for 500 SEK for 1 person, 350 SEK/person for 2 or more persons, towels and firewood are included.

You can choose to use the sauna between 5-7pm or 7-9pm.
