Four hiking trails – four different experiences

Each of our marked hiking trails offers its own unique experience.

Whether you are looking for a short walk or a half-day adventure, you will find a trail that suits you.

All routes start and finish at  Smålandstorpet or nearby.

Through the Old Forest

The trail through the Old Forest is a trail full of variety. Here, you can experience the tranquility that characterizes the forests of Småland, while the trail offers diverse natural scenery and beautiful views.

The trail passes through an old pine forest where tall, gnarled pines have stood for a long time. The sun’s rays filter down between the trunks, creating a sense of calm that makes it easy to slow down.

The trail continues uphill over a few small hills where the terrain becomes more undulating. Here, the landscape opens up between the trees, and you get a sense of how the Småland forest landscape undulates. In late summer, blueberries and lingonberries are often found along the trail.

Toward the end, the trail leaves the dense forest and passes through a more open agricultural landscape with fields, pastures, and a few farms.

For those who want to go further, the trail connects to the Fällesjön loop, making it easy to combine both hikes into a longer hike through forests and lakeside scenery.
