The countryside hotel at the end of the gravel road
We have prepared four different trails.
The green, blue, and red trails can be combined (starting from Smålandstorpet) to create a longer hike.
No matter which route you choose, you'll find peace and quiet, birdsong, and opportunities to enjoy nature.
The scent of a sun-warmed pine forest is something many people associate with a Swedish summer.
This trail winds through an old coniferous forest where tall pine trees dominate the landscape. The ground is covered with soft moss and blueberry bushes.
In late summer, there are often still blueberries to be found, and in the fall, the first mushrooms start to appear along the trail.
That's often when you realize just how quiet it can actually be.
Facts About the Trail
This is one of our most popular hikes!
The trail takes you around beautiful Lake Fällesjön, which lies in the middle of the forest.
In some sections, the trail runs close to the water, while in others it winds through the dense coniferous forests of Småland.
If you bring your camera, there are plenty of great photo opportunities along the way!
Many guests choose to bring coffee and pastries and sit down to enjoy the view of the lake.
There's no stress here.
Just nature.

If you're lucky, you might spot a roe deer, a few cranes, or a large moose.
Why not pack a backpack with swedish "fika" and enjoy a longer break along the way?
This isn't a hike you want to rush through.
Facts About the Trail
The Blue Trail through the Old Forest is a trail full of variety. Here, you can experience the tranquility that characterizes the forests of Småland, while the trail offers diverse natural scenery and beautiful views.
The trail passes through an old pine forest where tall, gnarled pines have stood for a long time. The sun’s rays filter down between the trunks, creating a sense of calm that makes it easy to slow down.
The trail continues uphill over a few small hills where the terrain becomes more undulating. Here, the landscape opens up between the trees, and you get a sense of how the Småland forest landscape undulates. In late summer, blueberries and lingonberries are often found along the trail.
Toward the end, the trail leaves the dense forest and passes through a more open agricultural landscape with fields, pastures, and a few farms.
For those who want to go further, the trail connects to the Fällesjön loop, making it easy to combine both hikes into a longer hike through forests and lakeside scenery.
