Since 2016, we—Maria and Johan Haggård—have been creating a place where nature and tranquility take center stage. Smålandstorpet is a small country inn for adults only (ages 15 and up). At the end of a gravel road, surrounded by woods and meadows, you can stay with us in our beautiful and comfortable cottages.
With carefully renovated cottages, breakfast delivered to your door, and a wood-fired sauna by the lake that you can rent, we offer a stay characterized by a warm, personal touch and genuine hospitality. As a guest at our countryside hotel, you can enjoy a relaxing evening in our wood-fired sauna, beautifully located next to our small sandy beach and jetty, about one kilometer from the hotel. You can easily get there on foot or by car. When darkness falls, the experience becomes extra atmospheric with the cozy lighting around.
The sauna is warm and ready when you arrive and we make sure that towels, bathrobes, slippers and firewood are on hand for a carefree evening. During the winter we can also arrange a wake for those who want to take a refreshing dip.
At Smålandstorpet, we are proud to offer our own hiking trails that start from our courtyard. They vary in length from approximately 3 km to approximately 15 km. As a guest at our countryside hotel, you can start the day with a leisurely breakfast served at your accommodation and then experience the local nature, perhaps with a backpack containing some tasty snacks.

What can you do when you are a guest at Smålandstorpet? With us, relaxation is in focus - enjoy a quiet forest walk, take a dip in the lake, or rent our cozy sauna or boat. Explore nature by picking berries and mushrooms or just wander around the forest. There are also nice gravel roads for cycling, so feel free to bring your bike!
