Forssa kvarnagård is run by Therese and Claes, who with great care have developed their business into a vibrant meeting place. There is not only the smell of freshly baked bread but also a strong sense of presence and heart. The mill has been in use for generations and has always been a place of community. Today, it offers the same warmth - but with sourdough bread, coffee and pizza instead of sacks of grain.
Stepping into the café is like stepping into someone's living room - a warm, personal environment where both the decor and the food exude quality and care.
Sourdough bread made from cultured cereals - naturally delicious
What makes Forssa Kvarnagård unique is their focus on cultural cereals - older cereals grown organically and with great respect for both the soil and the body. Grains such as spelt, emmer, rye, naked barley and Öland wheat are milled on site in the mill's stone pair - just like in the past. The gentle stone milling preserves both flavor and nutrients, resulting in a flour full of life and power.
The result? Breads that are moist, flavorful and easy to digest - all without additives. Baked here long-risen sourdough breads, rolls and rustic rolls with a deep, genuine character.
Wood-fired pizza - rustic food with great love
A visit to Forssa Kvarnagård is not complete without trying their wood oven baked pizza. The bases are of course baked on sourdough, and topped with selected ingredients before being baked to perfection in the wood-fired oven. The pizza is enjoyed either in the cozy café, by the outdoor water mirror or in the heritage mill - each place with its own charm.
